Man City appear to have wrapped up a deal to bring David Silva to Eastlands for next season. The Spanish playmaker was instrumental in Valencia’s La Liga campaign last season and becomes the clubs second big-name to leave this summer, following the earlier exit of David Villa to Barcelona.
Elsewhere in Premier League, Liverpool appear to be wrapping up the signing of Roy Hodgson as manager. Seems a risky decision for Woy and unless there is going to be some sort of cash injection I fear he is on a hiding to nothing. The club are strapped for cash, there are numerous stories of their star players leaving and if the murmurs we’re hearing regarding the clubs talisman turn out to be true there is nothing but more trouble on the way for the Anfield club.
Arsenal seem to be making their second signing of the season, as it looks like they have snapped up Laurent Koscielny for an eye watering £8.5 million (considering he was French league 2 prior to last season)
That’s all for now, I’m hoping Smat will finish off his England World Cup Review by summarising his thoughts on the managers performance later today…
